چکیده

The Unmanned Systems Research Laboratory (USRL) of the Cyprus Institute is a new mobile exploratory platform EU Infrastructure Aerosol, Clouds and Trace Gases InfraStructure (ACTRIS). USRL offers exclusive Aerial Vehicle (UAV)-sensor solutions that can be deployed anywhere in Europe beyond, e.g., during intensive field campaigns through transnational access scheme compliance with drone regulation set by European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for research, innovation, training. UAV sensor systems play growing role portfolio Earth observation systems. They provide cost-effective, spatial in-situ atmospheric observations which are complementary to stationary networks. also have strong potential calibrating validating remote-sensing sensors retrieval algorithms, mapping close-to-the-ground emission point sources dispersion plumes, evaluating performance models. unique information relevant short- long-range transport gas aerosol pollutants, radiative forcing, cloud properties, factors variety parameters. Since its establishment 2015, participating major international research projects dedicated (1) better understanding aerosol-cloud interactions, (2) profiling optical properties different environments, (3) vertical distribution air pollutants above planetary boundary layer, (4) validation Aeolus satellite dust products utilizing novel UAV-balloon-sensor systems, (5) chemical characterization ship stack emissions. A comprehensive overview UAV-sensor developed their deployments presented here. This paper aims illustrate scientific UAV-borne measurements sciences need integration

A New Approach for Knowledge Based Systems Reduction using Rough Sets Theory (RESEARCH NOTE)

Problem of knowledge analysis for decision support system is the most difficult task of information systems. This paper presents a new approach based on notions of mathematical theory of Rough Sets to solve this problem. Using these concepts a systematic approach has been developed to reduce the size of decision database and extract reduced rules set from vague and uncertain data. The method ha...
